Thankfully, there were no spats in this party. Only a long due truce between Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu.
According to tabloid reports Kareena was trying to patch with Bips since last year. Last week, when Kareena saw "Bachna Ae Haseeno", she messaged Bips saying she loved her performance in the movie. That broke the ice and then Bebo invited Bips to Saif's party.
How did the war start?
Kareena and Bipasha had a fight in Switzerland when they were shooting for "Ajnabee" (2001). The two had verbally clawed each other over Kareena's designer, Manish Malhotra, giving a helping hand to Bipasha without Kareena's consent. Bebo had reportedly called Bips a "Kaali Billi".
Things between the two actresses worsened when Kareena said on Karan Johar's chat show that she would not like to work with Bipasha's boyfriend John Abraham because she found his face "Expressionless".
The Bong bombshell retaliated in another episode by saying that Kareena had "Too Many Eexpressions" on her face when she performs on screen.
But Saif's birthday party was an occasion to let bygones be bygones, bury the hatchet, patch up and blah...blah..blah.
Reports say neither of the two actresses showed any awkwardness in breaking the ice and warming up. The two simply got talking.
Interestingly, Saif had invited Shahrukh and Salman as well. While SRK attended with wife Gauri, Arbaaz Khan made up for brother Salman's absence.
Phew! Some people never change.
